Rick Moonen & Matthew Accarrino Cooking Together For A Cause

Rick Moonen will renuite with a star chef he once mentored next Thursday to create a special dinner to benefit the Three Square hunger bank.

Chef Mathew Accarrino once served under Moonen at Restaurant rm in New York.  He’s also worked alongside renowned chefs Charlie Palmer, Thomas Keller and Tom Colicchio.  He was a semi finalist for The James Beard Foundation’s Best Chef: Pacific award in 2012, and this year his San Francisco restaurant SPQR received its first Michelin star.

The two chefs will put together a five-course “Shellfish Lover’s Paradise” tasting menu, complete with wine pairing, that will begin with a 7pm cocktail reception on March 14.  The $150 all-inclusive price tag includes an autographed copy of Accarino’s cookbook “SPQR: Modern Italian Food and Wine.”  Here’s a copy of the menu:
