Rosemary's Heading Downtown

on

It’s been too long since the original off-Strip gourmet restaurant closed its doors, but Rosemary’s is finally coming back.  Chef Michael Jordan will be in the kitchen when the new restaurant opens as part of the Las Vegas Shakespeare Company’s renovation of downtown’s historic Reed Whipple Cultural Center.  In addition to the restaurant, the 35,000 square foot center will be expanded to house a state of the art 499-seat theatre and rehearsal space, the Bard Lounge (“a chic spot for pre- and post-show cocktails”) and Gallery OV – Opportunity Village Fine Art gallery.

In a press release announcing the project, Jordan said, ““I couldn’t be happier to be working with the Las Vegas Shakespeare Company to bring a taste of Rosemary’s back to the city that embraced us so much. We look forward to bringing back some old favorites and creating new ones.”

The only bad news is that, ground-breaking on the new project isn’t expected until early next year.
